Art/Science – Rock Frogs and Rock Toads – Looking closely at photos of frogs and toads…students used acrylic paint to replicate either a frog or a toad on a rock.
Big Kid Test Taking Practice – We have been so quiet in the main building as the big kids take MAP tests.  The Lemurs have been curious about what this MAP test is, so we borrowed some testing privacy shields from 1st grade and practiced what it’s like to take a test.
Pond Life – Fish – We looked closely at bluegill and bass fish.  Students created some fish for our pond, attached a paper clip and then went fishing.

Friday
Gramsy – Storyteller – Mr. Oremland’s mother stopped by and entertained us with her wonderful storytelling.
Sorting Compliment Links – We have so many lemur links!  This class has been very generous with compliments this year and we have been sorting all of our lemur links to send home.
Lunchbox Memory Game – Plastic food items were taken out of a lunchbox and arranged on the table.  Students closed their eyes and 1 item was removed.  Students guessed which item was gone.
